This online shopping site www.hothamcentralsupermarket.com.au is a shopping website where you can browse, select and order products advertised.

Please read these terms and conditions before accessing or using the Site. If you are under 18 years of age, then you must obtain your parent or guardian’s consent before accessing and using the Site.

All pricing and transactions are in Australian currency – Australian Dollars (AUD).

Your access to and use of the Site, including your order of Products through the Site, is subject to compliance with these terms and conditions.

You agree and comply with completing your registration through the Site, using the Site to obtain Products from us


You must complete the customer registration process through the Site before placing an order for Products through the Site. Any personal information that you give us will be held and used by us in accordance with our privacy policy.


You may not have more than one active account, and your account is non-transferable. You may update, edit or terminate your account at any time through the Site.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts and/or remove or edit content if we, acting reasonably, deem that you have acted in breach of our terms and conditions or have used the Site in an improper manner

Placing an order

You may order Products by selecting and submitting your order through the Site in accordance with these terms and conditions. Any order placed through this Site, is an offer by you to purchase the Products for the price notified including the delivery and other charges and taxes at the time you place the order. We may ask you to provide additional details or require you to confirm your details to enable us to process any orders placed through the Site. You agree to provide us with current, complete and accurate details when ordering.
All online orders are subject to a 48hr turn around from the time of purchase to time of delivery.

Rejection of Order

We reserve the right to accept or reject your order for any reason. If there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the Site or in your order is incorrect. We will endeavour to notify you of that rejection at the time you place the order or within a reasonable time after you submit your order.

Cancellation of an order

We may cancel any part of an order (including any orders that we have accepted) without any liability to you for that cancellation at any time if:
(a) the requested Products in that order are not available; or
(b) there is an error in the price or the product description posted on the Site in relation to the relevant Product in that order; or
(c) that order has been placed in breach of these terms and conditions.

You may cancel an order (whether it is accepted by us or not):
(a) up to 30 mins before the delivery window closes the day before your delivery, through the Site. If so, no fees or charges will apply to that cancellation; or
(b) in all other circumstances, by contacting us on 03 5759 3232 or email on orders@hothamcentralsupermarket.com.au.

Returns and Refund Policy

With Proof of Purchase

If the product you buy from Hotham Central Supermarket that is faulty or you feel there is a problem and are not satisfied, then we will be happy to exchange it for you.  If you are still unsatisfied then you may request a refund.

If you have changed your mind

If a product is purchased and then you change your mind and you return the product to us unopened, undamaged, in its original packaging and with clear proof of purchase.

Without Proof of Purchase

Products with a purchase price of less than $30 will be either exchanged, refunded in cash or reimbursed in the original payment method.

Products over $30 requesting either refund or exchange will be at the discretion of management. We ask that you bring your product with you to the store we can assess.

Additional Information

If your product cannot be easily returned, please contact us and we will arrange for the product to be assessed and a suitable remedy provided.

There are no refunds on newspapers and cigarettes.

Liquor Ordering

Hotham Central Supermarket is had a packaged Liquor Licence.  Licence No. 32024717

Where liquor is being sold online, merchants must:

(A) display their liquor licence details

(B) note that delivery is only made to addresses located within Dinner Plain and Hotham Heights area

(C) note that liquor is sold only to persons of 18 years of age or older, and note that age confirmation identification must be presented at the time of delivery.

(D) the person receiving the liquor is over the age of 18 years or such other minimum age as prescribed by law

(E) liquor will not be delivered to a person who is intoxicated

Alcohol cannot be sold or delivered before 9am each weekday and 10am on Sunday as per licence conditions.

“Warning” – Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (Penalty exceeds $18,000) or for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (Penalty exceeds $800)

Substitution and Delivery

You acknowledge that a Product that you order may be out of stock or temporarily unavailable. I this happens then we will endeavour to provide you with a substitute Product or a refund will be given,

If there are missing items from your delivery, then you should check the receipt that we provided to you and contact us.

General Obligations

To ensure our customers get the most benefit out of using the site we recommend that you:

1.ensure that your Login ID, password and discount codes that are used to access the Site and the details of your account is kept in a safe and secure manner;
2. notify us during Contact Hours if you are or become aware that there is or has been an unauthorised use of your Login ID and password or account
3. promptly advise us of any changes to your information provided to us as part of the customer registration process;
4. must provide us with your date of birth to place an order for a Restricted Product (for example, a Product that contains liquor, alcohol or tobacco) or where a relevant law requires us to obtain or verify your date of birth before we agree to supply that Product to you;
5. are responsible and liable for any person that uses your LoginID and password to order Product(s) through the Site;


Hotham Central Supermarket attempts to be as accurate as possible and uses its best endeavours to ensure, that all information provided by its suppliers, including product descriptions or other content of this site is accurate, reliable, current or error-free.

Changes to Policy

We may change these terms and conditions at any time, and such modifications will be effective as soon as they are posted. For future orders, these terms may therefore be different. We recommend that you read these terms carefully each time you agree to them during the ordering process. If you have an order that has been accepted by us, the terms and conditions that will apply to the order, are the terms and conditions that applied at the time you placed your order.
